KU VC Calls for accountability, Promotion of research culture emphasized Accountability must start from our own selves, we should work for the interest of the university rather our personal interests. I have not done a single foreign tour on varsity’s fund during my tenure as Vice Chancellor. KU is getting 2 billion Rupees grant from HEC while KU generates the same amount from its own resources. 3.9 Billion Rupees are spent only in salaries, pensions and utilities. In this scenario, it becomes difficult to spend on scientific research work and other necessary expenses. These views were expressed by KU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan while addressing at the Karachi University Teachers’ Society Annual Function at SZIC, KU. He added that I am striving for decreasing the budget deficit of KU, we have approached many forums and will also meet PM soon since education and health are prime focuses of the federal government and Prime Minister.
