KU Theater and Drama Society won national competition

The Karachi University’s Student Affairs’ Theater and Drama Society team has won the national competition during National Drama Festival held at National University of Modern Languages (NAML), Islamabad.
According to the details, a team from Karachi University won three awards in the categories of the best drama, best technical work, and negative role. The teams from fourteen different universities took part in the competition while the team of Karachi University stood first in the event. The Government College University Faisalabad stood second and Bahria University Islamabad took the third position.
Meanwhile, the KU Vice Chancellor Professor Doctor Khalid Mahmood Iraqi congratulated the successful team for securing the first position. He observed that it is important to organize extra-curricular activities along with curricular activities. He said that such activities provided opportunities to get their skills recognized.
“I am happy that the Student Advisor Office of our university is regularly providing such creative opportunities to the students.” The KU VC Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi added that such activities are providing opportunities to the students to enhance their skills and making us proud.
