The University of Karachi would host International Students Convention in October this year. The KU would host the ISC event for the first time ever while Lahore and Islamabad had organized similar activities in recent past.
The delegates of local and international students from Europe, Middle East and Africa would likely participate in this mega event. The ISC also provides culture exchange platform besides giving stage to youngsters to show their leadership skills. Karachi University would utilize all available resources to make it a successful event.
These views were expressed by the KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi on Thursday. He was speaking at a meeting held at the Office of Student’s Advisor. The Vice Chancellor, Education University, Lahore, Professor Dr Rauf Azam, Vice Chancellor, Iqra University, Professor Dr Waseem Qazi, Dean, Faculty Science, KU, Professor Dr Tabassum Mehboob, national coordinator Inter University Consortium Murtaza Noor and KU Student’s Advisor Dr Syed Asim Ali were present on this occasion.
Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi mentioned that students are the major stakeholders of the varsity and KU believe such events are helpful in grooming their leadership qualities. Besides routine academic activities extracurricular activities are also very important for students.
The KU VC Dr Iraqi said that he had given instructions to the varsity’s Student’s Advisor to arrange events regularly to enhance and promote student’s skills and this ISC would be a part of it.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor, Education University, Lahore, Professor Dr Rauf Azam, shared that Education University had played vital role in arranging ISC in Lahore and Islamabad and Pakistani students had learnt a lot during those events.
“I believe Karachi University will hold the event successfully and promote positive image of the country as peaceful country.” The VC IU, Professor Dr Waseem Qazi, said that students must interacted with students of different ideologies and play their role in establishing tolerance culture.
The local coordinator Inter University Consortium Murtaza Noor said that he hoped that KU would be the good host of the event and students would use this platform to polish their skills. Dean, Faculty Science, KU, Professor Dr Tabassum Mehboob, shared the this event would help in spreading positive image of the country as well as make the name of the University of Karachi.
The KU Student’s Advisor Dr Syed Asim Ali expressed that despite limited resources students have won many competitions and if they get more resources than they could perform even better.
KU issuing MA Part I and II private exam 2017 mark sheet
The marksheets of MA Part-I and II (Private) Annual Examinations-2017 have been prepared and ready to collect. Students are directed to collect their marksheet from Counter Number 01, located at the Silver Jubilee Gate, KU, from 09am to 1pm, the Controller of Examinations, Professor Dr Arshad Azmi announced on Thursday.
He mentioned that students should bring original admit card, registration card and national computerized identity card to collect marksheet.
Meanwhile, he said that MA Annual Examination-2018 (regular and private) are schedule from third week of June 2019. He also said that registration and examination forms of BA, BCom and MA for overseas students would be submitted till June 10, 2019. He further said that interested candidates could avail this opportunity.
