New World Concept organized an Outdoor Women Seminar with collaboration of German Consulate and NBP
Karachi(Cliff News)At the advent of International Womens Day Month, New World Concepts organized an outdoor Women Leaders Seminar, on Tuesday 1st March 2022 at Avari Hotel, Karachi in collaboration with the German Consulate General, Karachi and the support of National Bank of Pakistan. Celebrity actress and artist Sarwat Gilani hosted the seminar.“There is an urgent need for organizations, business and industry to be more gender inclusive and to create more opportunities. We continue to raise awareness and promote greater women workforce participation to meet the challenges Pakistan faces.” said Yasmin Hyder, CEO, New World Concepts.The seminar brought together professionals to learn from women who are pioneering agents of change in diverse fields such as business, health and technology. The seminar showcased ways women have tackled challenges of Covid-19, remote work and its impact on mental health. It also highlighted glass ceilings and challenges women face in multicultural settings and provided insights on how to develop your personal value proposition.
The keynote speakers at the seminar included Asma Shaikh, CHRO National Bank of Pakistan, who gave a moving speech about her life story, her professional career and inspired women by sharing the personal and professional challenges faced.
The seminar was held in collaboration with German Consulate General Karachi, who flew in special guest, a Karachi born Bremerin Sadia Shakil, CEO and Founder of Axtrion, a leading cloud-native firm. Sadia spoke about her journey, moving from Karachi to Germany for education and excelling in building her own business. She emphasized the role of diversity and inclusion in workplaces.
Dr. Zainab Samad, Chairperson, Department of Medicine Aga Khan University, also spoke, detailing the impacts of Covid-19 on women professionals across different fields with special focus on how it affected mental health. She also highlighted the leadership role of women in health as frontline workers during Covid-19.
Ronak Lakhani, Chairperson Special Olympics Pakistan, announced the next Special Olympics World Games in Berlin, Germany in June 2023. Girl athlete leaders also spoke about their stories of inclusion and their excitement to represent Pakistan at the World Games.
