KU extended the last date of submission of online forms for KU Admissions till 17th November, 2018.

KU Director Admissions has extended the last date of submission of online
forms for KU Admissions 2019 (Entry Test Based) in Bachelors and Masters
Program (Morning), Doctor of Pharmacy (Morning and Evening), Doctor of
Physical Therapy (Morning) and Visual Studies department for the session
2019 till 17th November, 2018.

The students can get the online admission form, prospectus and form
submission guidelines from www.uokadmission.edu.pk

KU holds awareness seminar on breast cancer.

Chairperson Sociology Department KU Prof. Dr. Rana Saba Sultan said that
thousands of women suffer from Breast cancer in the country due to the lack
of awareness while majority of them lose their lives. Only due to lack of
awareness, South Asian countries particularly Pakistan, the death rate of
breast cancer patients is high. Majority of ladies in Pakistan are
diagnosed in last stage which is a dilemma. Any change and irregular
feeling on breasts may be a symptom of breast cancer, women shouldn’t
ignore it and contact their doctor.

She was addressing at the awareness seminar on Breast Cancer organized by
department of sociology in collaboration with Nusrat Education and Health
Welfare Trust.

She added that the purpose of this seminar is to raise awareness regarding
breast cancer in the country, she briefed the audience about the major
details of the diseases and called for raising countrywide awareness of
this disease among masses.

Associate Professor Sociology Department KU Dr. Naila Usman Siddiqui said
that the major reason of spreading of breast cancer is our societal
behavior, we consider it a taboo in our society to discuss it. Women feel
ashamed of discussing it and stay silent which ultimately becomes harmful
when it reaches the last stage.

Sonia Sarfaraz Sorani said that October is the month of awareness of breast
cancer. One women in every nine women has this disease. In the rural areas
of the country, this disease has been completely neglected and considered
as a taboo. 77 percent of women above the age of 50 are likely to be
affected from this disease.

German Consul General inaugurates plantation campaign at KU

German Consul General in Karachi H.E. Eugen Wollfarth met Vice Chancellor
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan at VC Secretariat, University of Karachi.
During the meeting, faculty exchange program and other issues were
discussed. Dr. Ajmal Khan briefed him about the academic activities in KU
on which he lauded the said activities. Dr. Khan said that academic
relations between varsities of Germany and KU, we need to strengthen
academic exchange programs between both the countries.
He also wowed to collaborate in other departments on which German Consul
General agreed and assured him of support in this regard.
German Consul General in Karachi H.E. Eugen Wollfarth also inaugurated the
plantation campaign at University of Karachi. He said that Environmental
protection and sustainable growth are key features of Germany’s economic
development. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ajmal Khan appreciated and commended
the initiative of German Consul General.

Admission Forms of Reserved Seats may be submitted till 30th November 2018.

KU Director Admissions Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Qadri has notified that the
Admission Forms of Reserved Seats may be submitted till 30th November 2018.
The students can get the online admission form, prospectus and
form submission guidelines from www.uokadmission.edu.pk
Those students who are interested in admission in test based departments
must submit the test based admission forms and must appear in the admission
test otherwise they will not be considered in the departments on admission
test basis

KU extends LLB and B.A LLB Hons examination fees schedule.

KU Controller Examinations has notified that the examinations form and fees
for LLB Part 1 and Part 2 and Final Annual Examinations 2018 will be
accepted with late fees till 23rd  November, 2018 at their respective
colleges with the examination fees of Rs. 11,050/= (for each part). Moreover,
examinations form and fees for examination forms for LLM Previous and Final
Annual Examinations 2018 will also be accepted during the said dates with
the fees of Rs. 11,425 (for each part). In addition to it,
examinations form and fees for examination forms for B.A LLB Hons. Annual
Examinations 2018 with the examination fees of Rs. 11,050 will be accepted
as per said schedule.
Students may download the examination form and fees voucher from KU website
and submit to any branch of HBL, UBL, Sindh Bank, MCB and NBP. Students are
directed to attach the fee payment voucher along with relevant documents
and fill examination forms through their respective Colleges.
All those candidates except who were registered in 2012 or earlier and want
to appear at Annual Examinations 2018 can appear by paying Rs. 5000/= as
extra charges in addition to the normal examination fee.
